We offer treatment services from 6 years and above that include:
Depending on the issues at hand, treatment may either include individual or group therapy, solely treatment through medication, or psychotherapy together with medication.
– We offer management of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder that includes comprehensive diagnostic assessment, review the results of assessment and broad-spectrum treatment including medication management of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
– Management of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Anxiety disorders, Depression, Bipolar disorder that includes therapy and medication management.
– We have experience working with a full range of psychiatric medications, including those for ADHD, PTSD, depression, anxiety, mood disorders.
– Cognitive Remediation Therapy that targets attention and thinking skills.
– Treatment of Autism spectrum that includes assessment, executive functioning, and medication management.
Comprehensive Assessments
Comprehensive ADHD Testing
Child and Family Psychiatry offers a comprehensive screening, diagnostic and treatment process in ADHD. The screening and diagnostic process involves multiple evidence-based clinical and psychological and cognitive assessments performed in our clinic. At the completion of the assessment, you will be scheduled for a follow-up appointment to review your child’s comprehensive evaluation report that includes individualized treatment recommendations, receive a diagnosis, discuss results, and address concerns.
The Thinking and Learning Program (TALP)
The Thinking and Learning Program (TALP) includes elements of the Feuerstein Instrumental Enrichment (FIE) program and Cognitive Remediation Therapy (CRT).
The Feuerstein Method and Cognitive Remediation Therapy teach the skills of learning and thinking.
Feuerstein Instrumental Enrichment (FIE) program consists of activities which develop such important thinking skills as finding patterns, comparing, categorizing, analyzing, understanding emotions, and much more; this focus then improves an individual’s learning potential. The program has resulted in improvements in individuals with Brain Injury, Autism, ADHD, Down’s Syndrome, Dyslexia, and Learning Disabilities.
Cognitive Remediation therapy, also referred to as Cognitive Enhancement Therapy, is a therapeutic approach focused on treating specific neurocognitive areas. CRT is unique because it has a goal to develop the underlying cognitive skills that are critical for everyday life.
